In this video, we share our recipe for Chickpea Pesto sauce. We love pesto but the points were always too high. We decided to experiment in the kitchen using chickpeas instead and what we came up with was a low-point version of the sauce. Enjoy!

[Makes 12 Portions]


  • 1 Can of Chickpeas [๐Ÿ’š 12 ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’œ 0]

  • 1/3 Cup of Greek Yogurt

  • 1 Cup Fresh Basil

  • 2 Tbsp of Garlic Paste

  • 1/4 Cup of Water (may need more)

  • Clubhouse Roasted Red Pepper

  • Clubhouse Garlic and Herb

  • Clubhouse Italiano


  1. Preheat oven to 400F

  2. Peel outer skin from chickpeas and rinse.

  3. In a bowl, mix chickpeas with spices and spread onto baking sheet.

  4. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. In blender, add chickpeas, yogurt, basil and garlic and 1/4 cup of water.

  6. Blend ingredients, add additional water until desired texture.

  7. Split sauce into ice cube tray and freeze for easy-to-use 1 point cubes!
